Meet The Team

Alexander James is a small but dedicated family business of bespoke tailors offering a personal service to those who seek Quality Outfits dedicated to their own country pursuit. We believe strongly in employing and maintaining the finest traditional skills in all the garments we make, and we are ensuring that these skills are passed on to the next generation.

    Our management team is shown on the right. Alan Little, the MD, is in the centre, flanked by his wife, Margaret and brother George. Alan and Margaret's two sons, Carl (left) and Mark, are also dedicated to the business, learning the tailor's craft in the traditional way and taking a close interest in building the business for the future.

    As well as taking a very much "hands on" role in the day to day running of the business, you may well bump into any of us manning the Alexander James stand at Equestrian events and Country Shows around the UK and in Ireland (just click on "Shows". You will always get helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic advice on all aspects fine tailoring - about styles and fit, about cloths and even down to the details of buttons, pockets, linings and trim.
